Fishing Derby

I took Braeden to the Kids Fishing Derby on Saturday. There is a lake not too far from our house (Silver Lake) that the Parks & Recreation department stocks with Rainbow Trout once a year, and the kids fishing event is one of the first groups to get a chance at them.

We were in the first group, so had an early 7:30am start time.

Braeden was a big catch and release advocate on this outing - he chose to let all of the fish he caught go, with one exception . . .


One of the fish swallowed the hook , so catch & release wasn't an option in his case.
