Yesterday was our 10 year anniversary. My how things change in 10 years. The day was full of surprises (for me) as Brian got up like always, but instead had planned to take the day off. He surprised us by opening the door with his hands full of breakfast. We were able to spend the day together before the next surprise.
He told us to be ready by 4 and that the babysitter would be arriving then. Braeden looked out the front window and said Anetta is here in a limo. He didn't believe that it was for us (afterall, don't most babysitters arrive by limo).
Bri arranged to take the boys on a little trip before we headed off to dinner. Braeden giggled with delight and loved drinking sparkling cider in the car.
Jonah didn't know what was going on, but he enjoyed a few sips too. Then we dropped the boys back home before heading to dinner. They had a grand time with the babysitter while we drove down to take the dinner train. That was a great surprise too (so were the dozen roses he had waiting at our table for me) as I've wanted to take it for some time. The weather was great so we had really nice views along the way. Afterwards, the limo picked us up and he took us on a scenic tour with beautiful shots of downtown Seattle before heading home. Brian's pretty good at planning surprise, no?
