Boulder Creek Trail

Our hiking season has officially begun. We headed out East of Arlington to Boulder Creek yesterday. It was a great family day.

Braeden said (at about the halfway mark) "I'm full of energy and want to go to the top!" We hiked about 5 of the 9 mile route, and he hiked the whole way on his own. Even over the bridges he did great; one only had one cable to hold on to while crossing the flat topped log (it was more difficult to persuade Maggie across than him) and the others were slats of logs (so he could see through the spaces).

We could either see or hear the river the whole way.

Jonah slept much of the hike, but was happy while awake. I linked a toy for him on the backpack for him to play with. He did great in the car too (except for about 5 minutes) just talking away. Braeden even got him to laugh by blowing raspberries, that's his favorite new trick.
