Learning new tricks

Braeden is helping Jonah as he is trying to learn to suck his thumb.

He really concentrates on getting his fists into his mouth. He often keeps his fists closed, and even when the thumb makes it in, it doesn't always stay in. But he's getting closer and he sure is persistent!

This is what his attempts look like halfway.

Braeden adopted two new fish yesterday. He was very excited (although moreso about the "toys" that you can put into the tanks) and is happy to have two new ones. They all seem to get along really well too and even play follow the leader.

Braeden likes Jonah to get in bed with him at bedtime, and he wants to hold him all throughout the day. He is one good big brother! He literally races me to comfort him or do pacifier duty. Or if he's really engaged in something, he'll tell me to tend to him. He's pretty great all the way around, he's very encouraging ("you're amazing mom" and "don't give up") and affectionate ("hugs for you" he gave Brian about 20 when he was leaving on a one night business trip).

Jonah received this cute little bunny which doubles perfectly as his head rest.
